SCORE

10 – 17 — You really aren’t showing any signs and may not be pregnant. However, not every woman shows symptoms, and if your periods are not regular it may be hard to tell if you are pregnant.

18 – 22 — You have some distinct pregnancy symptoms. If you haven’t taken a pregnancy test yet, work on the assumption that you are pregnant–until you find out–and stay away from harmful things.

23 – 28 — There is a very good chance that you are pregnant. If you’ve not yet taken a pregnancy test, this may be a good time.

If you think there is a possibility of being pregnant, take a pregnancy test. Home tests are actually 98% accurate if you follow the directions. However, if it is still early in your cycle, the test may give a negative result. If you think that’s wrong, try taking the test again in a couple days.

If you end up with a positive result, be sure to call your doctor for a blood test confirmation. (An in-office blood test can be performed seven to 12 days post-conception with accurate results.) After your doctor confirms your pregnancy, your next step will be to make your first prenatal appointment, usually scheduled around your eighth week of pregnancy.
